Coronation Street legend to head to CheeseFest Manchester this February!

Former Coronation Street actor Sean Wilson better known on the soap as Martin Platt will be heading to CheeseFest Manchester this coming February 16th & 17th!

The long time soap actor has found himself a regular at the touring Cheese Festival in the past 12 months heading to venues all over the UK. Not only with his award winning ‘Saddleworths Cheese’ but taking to the stage and providing some amazing cooking demonstrations throughout the day, giving customers and visitors a fresh look into what amazing recipes can be made from the products on sale at CheeseFest.

Since leaving Coronation Street in 2005, Sean has followed his passion into the world of food and cheese, where he has created his own range of multi-award winning Lancashire cheeses and worked in Michelin star restaurants.

Presenting the lauded ‘Great Northern Cookbook’ for Channel 5 brought Sean back into our living rooms, reaching 1.2 million viewers; he also penned the cookbook of the same name to accompany the series. 

Sean's Saddleworth Cheese makes six artisanal cheeses, with provenance as their byword, celebrating Lancashire.  All have been British Cheese Award favourites over the years with Gold medals both nationally and internationally and 40 international awards to date, where they are becoming known as territorial cheeses of fine quality.

With this great experience and knowledge of cheese and culinary expertise it’s no wonder that sean is a favorite at the show bringing a great addition to the proceedings. CheeseFest UK organiser Tom Cullen has said,
